Fragrance Concentration

Fragrances are categorized by the strength and longevity of their scent, determined by the concentration of perfume oils.

Extrait de Parfum

The most concentrated form of fragrance, with 20-30% perfume oils. It's long-lasting (up to 24 hours) and has a rich scent.

Eau de Parfum (EDP)

Contains 15-20% perfume oils, making it slightly lighter than parfum but still long-lasting (4-6 hours).

Eau de Cologne (EDC)

A lighter concentration of 2-4% perfume oils, it lasts around 2-3 hours and is often used in refreshing, lighter scents.

Eau Fraîche

Contains the least perfume oils (1-3%), with most of its content being water. It’s a very light, refreshing fragrance that lasts about 1-2 hours.

Eau de Toilette (EDT)

With 5-15% perfume oils, it offers a lighter, more refreshing scent that lasts 3-4 hours.
